BIOGRAFÍA

Spam Allstars

Spam Allstars are one of the pioneers of the new Miami-fusion sound, blending Latin funk, electronica, hip-hop, horns, and dub music that was topped off by a live DJ who supplied the foundation with samples.

Formed in 1993, the band includes DJ Le Spam (aka Andrew Yeomanson) and Havana flautist Mercedes Abal, who formerly played with Albita. Calling themselves Miami’s hardest-working band, they tour relentlessly, playing more than 200 gigs a year and have released six albums, most recently Introducing Spam Allstars.
