My art with Smithsonian and EMP featuring Latin Music Greats!

Okay, so my friend Michele has a florist, G ROSSI at 7th & J and hangs my paintings there when they are not in a gallery and just because they look so snazzy with her gorgeous arrangements. I just had a show at the Beatnik Studios and was featured in Sacramento Magazine February 2011.

Anyhow, Mary from Sacramento Library came in to buy local (good job) and purchase flower arrangements for the American Sabor Grand Opening Gala. They asked if they could borrow my work to put in the lobby to accompany a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian. Are you kidding me? I just am happy to have my art in public view. Now my head has swollen. My eyebrows were raised when I found out more about the show. Oh my! EMP (Experience Music Project) was the one who put it together. I'm a member! Amazing museum -next time you are in Seattle - go and join. It is a must for music fans.

Music Icons that have shaped American Culture.

The paintings they selected were some of my all time favorites. My husband Lance, reading to our daughters, Maddy and Lauren. One of my best friends in the whole wide world Brian and his best friend Knucklehead. Hey, they are in Seattle. See a connection?-- and he is holding his guitar - no wait it is my husband's 1949 Gibson, featured also in the show. It is with Carlos Santana. Whew and eerie but in a good way. The guys hanging upside-down on light rail I believe was chosen for the bandana’s hanging from the kid’s pants or the sheer amusement of Mayor Kevin Johnson who spoke at the Gala Opening.

She is lovely and a model and made our wedding photos great. Hey, I met Tekla while getting our nails done and I said she should sing with Brian. She said, I know Brian.
