Last in the series: San Francisco Public Library Program Shares Latin Culture with Children

Singer/Songwriter  Francisco Herrera performs

Accomplished guitarist Francisco Herrera performed for more than 180 children in the Fisher Children’s Center at the Main Library on October 5 as part of the San Francisco Public Library’s presentation of American Sabor.  Herrera performed Latin music-inspired selections in English and in Spanish combining several pedagogical learning tools such as counting numbers and sharing the significance of Hispanic Heritage Month.  Children were encouraged throughout to participate with rhythmic clapping, bilingual singing and sharing information with their peers about their culture.
